Born in 1984 in Sydney, Australia, Sarah Park is an accomplished contemporary painter specialising in realism. Her work captures evocative, quietly charged moments, defined by deep contrasts balanced with soft transitional tones. Working with both brush and lens, Sarah’s contemporary realism reveals layered narratives through carefully composed scenes, velvety colour blends, and a refined sensitivity to light and shadow.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Art, a Master of Art by Coursework, and a Master of Fine Art by Research from UNSW COFA. Her practice has been recognised with numerous awards, including the 2011 Jenny Birt Award for Painting and Drawing and the UNSW Engineering Photography Prize.
Her work has been selected as a finalist in many significant national art prizes, including the Lethbridge 10,000 Small Scale Art Prize, Kennedy Art Prize, Georges River Art Prize, Whitewall Art Prize, Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing, Fisher’s Ghost Art Award, and the Broken Hill Art Prize, among others.
