Prithvi Kumar
Prithvi is an accomplished artist whose work is grounded in simplicity and poetic storytelling. His unique approach blends illusions of reality with expressive textures, inviting viewers to engage with the very nature of oil paint and the energy within each stroke. His paintings offer a direct yet nuanced experience, where simplicity becomes a medium for profound expression.
Prithvi's achievements are reflected in a series of prestigious awards, including a Silver Medal from the College of Art, a Gold Medal in Indian Art: Materials, Techniques, and Artistic Practices from IIT Kanpur, and a Gold Medal for his MFA from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). He was also among the top 5% in the "Introduction to Indian Art – An Appreciation" course at IIT Kanpur.
His academic background is equally impressive, with a B.F.A. from the College of Art, Delhi (2021), an M.F.A. from Jamia Millia Islamia (2023), and further specialized training from IIT Kanpur. He also qualified for UGC-NET in 2022 and gained practical experience during an internship at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi (2017).
Prithvi began exhibiting his work in 2014 and has since gained international recognition, with his work published in various platforms around the globe.
